Project Description

Architectural Glass Staircase at CFPB Headquarters

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) headquarters in Washington, D.C. is a 300,000-square-foot government facility established under the Dodd-Frank Act to protect consumers in the financial sector. Located at 1700 G Street NW, the building underwent major renovations led by Grunley Construction and RTKL to create a modern, public-friendly workspace.

A key design feature of the project is its all-glass and stainless-steel staircases, providing a transparent and contemporary architectural experience throughout the building. GBA Architectural Products + Services supplied and installed the custom glass treads, risers, and landings using high-performance laminated safety glass designed for strength, clarity, and durability.

This installation highlights advanced glass construction in federal architecture, combining safety, functionality, and modern design within one of Washington, D.C.’s most important government buildings.
