Immersive Children’s Area with Glass Floor Design
The Laurel Library Expansion in Prince George County features an interactive Children’s Room designed with a dinosaur theme to create an engaging learning space. Led by NARDI Construction, Inc. and designed by Grimm + Parker Architects, the project brings together innovative design and educational storytelling for the community.A key highlight is the custom glass floor installed by GBA using the GlassWalk™ flooring system. The installation showcases a life-size Nanotyrannus skeleton beneath a durable, anti-slip glass surface. Built with a precision-engineered aluminum support frame and custom-fabricated glass panels, the system ensures safety, visibility, and seamless integration with the surrounding floor design.
This feature transforms the library into an immersive educational environment while maintaining structural integrity and visual clarity.
